Subject: Re: [wxqc] Weatherlink 5.8.0 Upgrade
Gerry,
I had noticed that I was almost always posting to cwop2 also. On a rare
moment it would use cwop3 but then go right back to cwop2. My
Weatherlink 5.8.0 is configured to upload to cwop.aprs.net:15480 every
10 minutes with an offset of 8. This was also the case before I upgraded
from 5.7.1 to 5.8.0. When the recommendation came out in January to
switch over from rotate.aprs.net to cwop.aprs.net I was almost
exclusively posting to cwop2 even though my settings pointed to
cwop.aprs.net. I have noticed that after upgrading I seem to post to
cwop3 sometimes (maybe 2% of the time) which is more often than before.
I was especially reading the posts last few months when folks were
talking about the configurations so I wasn't sure if the lack of
rotation was due to my router or cable modem holding onto DNS info.
Oddly enough I continue to go back to cwop2 even after resetting the
entire network (modem, router, pc...). Any thoughts on this issue would
be welcomed.
I would also like to thank you(and all the others; and congrats to
Philip Gladstone on his honors)for all of your support. It is very
appreciated.
Thanks,
Ed Taggard

Ed,
Can you please check your config and tell me if you are using
cwop.aprs.net or something else for your server(s)? You seem to always
be on cwop2 instead of rotating randomly, as we expect.
Thanks,
gerry
