[wxqc] Updating Pro Vantage 2 Without Using Updater

My mistake, that is the one I was looking at. I did look at the other one,
which is just an .exe file. All you'd have to do is run it, making sure your
console is connected to you computer and your Weatherlink is not running.
 
Just ran it and it is straightforward, although I had to press "done" and
down arrow to enter setup mode, then I went through it to verify settings,
and then held "done" until it entered normal mode. After that it displayed
the data normally.

After checking my Vantage Pro 2 console, by holding "DONE" and then pressing
"up arrow," on the console, I have learned that I have revision April 10,
2006.  My understanding is that I can download and install the new firmware
update without renting/obtaining the "updater" hardware.  My problem is that
being new to this hobby/lifestyle and being a true novice computer user, I
have no idea how to install the update.  Any help would be GREATLY
