It's working ok for me, so far.  I made a few system changes during the same
XP boot and found that I needed to reboot XP to restore good system behavior
(right-click windows were coming up way too slowly).  After that reboot, all
is well.  I should add that I normally don't reboot unless I have to, and
run 24x7.  So, it's common for me to go many weeks betweeen boots.

No rain, however, so I don't know how well or whether the new precip
reporting is working as advertised, only the old functions.
