Your comments showed it was local problem to me (and my IE6).

I tried various things, including your suggestions, then read up on slow loads from Google maps with markers...etc etc

What seems to have cured it (for now):

I went to IE Tools==>Internet Options==>Settings for Temporary Internet files==>View Files==> then deleted all references to files from GladstoneFamily  or Weather.Gladstone or Server.Gladstone and all Terraserver files.  (Could probably have just deleted all saved temp internet files, I guess)

Now page seems to load fast.

Is is also possible that the Flickr search is holding it up?  I have been waiting more than two weeks for Flickr photos to show on the public search pages..  is the QC page load searching Flickr?

Would be curious if others get slow load from my page (or other's pages).
