I wanted to add that you might want to consider installing the Firefox browser just for poops. I have both IE7 and Firefox and have been running Firefox as my default browser for about a year now. In the overall, I like Firefox better.

  Your comments showed it was local problem to me (and my IE6).

  I tried various things, including your suggestions, then read up on slow loads from Google maps with markers...etc etc

  What seems to have cured it (for now):

  I went to IE Tools==>Internet Options==>Settings for Temporary Internet files==>View Files==> then deleted all references to files from GladstoneFamily  or Weather.Gladstone or Server.Gladstone and all Terraserver files.  (Could probably have just deleted all saved temp internet files, I guess)

  Now page seems to load fast.
