Gerry,
You wrote on another thread about the "poles" and made a statement about Linux.
I would like to see some discussion / advice on Linux software as relates to the subject or start another thread in relation to Weather Data and software specifically Linux. Right now I'm running a Dell P3, loaded with XP. I recently bought a new Dell 521 and enhanced it as well but without an operating system. I purchased a copy of SUSE Linux to install and have another copy of XP that I could install on the new puter.
My weather station is Davis VP2+, wireless, with the agi module uploading via DSL to APRS / CWOP and WeatherUnderground every 5 minutes.
Any thoughts / recommendations? Any help would be appreciated.

If Houston is the recipient of a hurricane's attentions, most of your
instrumentation is likely to be in either another neighborhood... or
another county:-)
One consideration when using PVC for anemometry mounting is the
flexibility of the tubing can cause some problems.
I opted for Linux a long time ago. I can use it on a variety of
devices, but that's all I'll say. No need to incite a flamewar over OS
religions.
