[wxqc] Pole for wind gauge

There are several programs that produce the file (wxnow.txt if I remember
correctly) that's used to transmit via radio to CWOP. WeatherDisplay does,
VPLive (freeware) does, and there's a WeatherLink add-in (freeware) that
does.

Davis is very open in regarding their data formats, and even have the hooks
to write add-ins to their WeatherLink software. Possibly I'm not
understanding the problem you were describing. If you mean a direct link
between the data logger and the radio equipment, maybe that's true. I'm not
a ham, so that end of it is out of my area of knowledge. But with a PC, I
know there are multiple options available, several of them free.

Back up power is not a problem, I have a generator, its the loss of land
the line communication (phone and cable) that makes you so help less during
the Florida hurricane season. It cost $ 200 extra (Davis part # 6540) just
to be able to condition the Davis data into a form that it can be sent by a
radio link. And the standard Weatherlink Data Logger (part # 6510) that you
have already paid $165 for becomes useless.
