CNN made a strong point this morning, that the central pressure of the
Nor'Easter was equivalent to that of a Cat 2 hurricane. The current
lowest sea-level pressure (my website doesn't [yet] report ALT) is ~982
hPa. That _is_ consistent with a significant tropical cyclone's central
pressure. Long URL again,
but....http://mesonet.tamu.edu/cgi-bin/mapserv?img.x=693&img.y=302&mode=brow

Look here: http://www.goes.noaa.gov/browse3.html and note that there's
not a closed circulation. While the winds are significant with this
storm, imagine what it'd be like with a closed circulation, a real low
central pressure and an eye wall to concentrate winds.
