Subject: Re: [wxqc] Intermittent Missing Data
As a user (and lover) of CWOP, I would like to make a few observations:
~CWOP is an awesome way for us to communicate our weather data to....well, everywhere. It is a free service and even if it weren't I suspect we would see problems every now and then because things simply happen.
~I don't think I am in the minority here - I feel privileged to participate in this community, and I am grateful for the help I have gotten for my connection issues.
That being said, I had no idea what happened when the servers went down earlier this year. However, due to the posts that came across today, now I do. And I wish I didn't.
Guys, these posts are not flattering. I don't want to know about bad blood between a community that I thought was united in our love of weather. Can y'all please retreat to your corners for a brief time-out? And, please - pretty please, stop this? This is a public forum, and anybody can see this. I am pretty sure the CWOP community at large just wants information to go through to findU - but not this kind of information....... :-[
