[wxqc] Temperature Error

Hello,
I thought I had used a fairly strong comparison with another location to
show that my temps were not out of line to blame it on radiant heat. While
my station is new and it might be possible on a bright hot sunny day to get
some radiant heat at its location I don't think the fact that I was so close
to another reliable source for temperature information that radiant heat
should be the case here. A closer look at one reliable nearby source on that
day, in particular CYYJ should back some of my comments up even though its
in an area like a lot of other stations around me, where its temperatures
are usually cooler than where my station is situated. What I do believe is
happening is that given the location of the other stations around me (most
being near the ocean) I am analysed in relation to them which would not be
an accurate comparison a good part of the time. If I am missing something on
my understanding of how the analysis works I would be more than happy to
hear it, but at this point I think I am making a valid point.
I know by how the graphs appear that radiant heat, given the time of day
things are going out of wack could be a contributing factor, but in this
case I don't believe so. I am too close to CYYJ's temperature and have lived
in this area for over 10 years so I have some idea how the local weather
works around here. I also worked in a profession where I had to have a very
good understanding of the weather everyday I went to work.
If someone has the time to look at all the numbers for my location and the
surrounding stations and give some feedback it would be appreciated. CYYJ
would be the first choice followed by CYCD and then any others you can
locate around me.
I have recently sent an e-mail in to have my height adjusted to 72 meters.
Thanks for your feedback,
Darryl
