Actually no -- I don't modify the analysis that MADIS does. I present 
the data that it provides in a meaningful way. MADIS also has access to 
more stations than I do -- this is part of the reason why the 
neighboring stations that I show can look good, but you still get the 
crazy jaggy analysis from MADIS. Sometimes you can spot the busted 
station using the MADIS Data display link near the bottom of each site 
information page -- though it is not easy to do. Also, not all stations 
are displayed on that page. Worse, the troublesome station is often on 
the mesonet that is not allowed to be displayed.

In answer to the Yellow ? -- this (as I recall) only happens if your 
APRS position does not match your reported position, or your elevation 
does not validate. These are both indications that your registered 
position may be incorrect, and hence you would be compared against the 
wrong data.
