I also have really not had any issues with my satellite connectivity thus
far. I have seen this issue with WeatherLink, but that is extent of my
problems.
I knew about the latency going into getting it set up, so I had some
expectations. However, I did not know about the FAP (Fair Access Policy)
and its bandwidth throttling. But, I never hit the limit now with my
service plan, so uploading the data is not an issue.
Hopefully Davis will come out with another driver update or a newer version
of WL to fix the issue.
I have been happy with the WL software for the most part, but it has room
for improvement.

Hi Paul
I'm glad someone had good luck with satellite, I had Starband and had
trouble connecting to my work servers in Denver as well.
As far as the dial-up, we had to call for service on several occasions
and found that the lines were not capable of reliably carrying data,
only voice(and that wasn't and still isn't very good).
I am using a wireless ISP now and have not had any timeout problems since
