[wxqc] DAta upload lock up

Well, after telling everyone that I did not see any issues, I started having
issues :)

5.6 or 5.7 same problem.

The only change from my testing location to the actual is the ISP. I was
using cable for testing, now I am using satellite internet for the permanent
location. So Al and Art may be on to something.

Thanks Gary for your list of software packages...I will give each one a go
and see which one I prefer.

Good luck all!

-Chris

There are several alternatives to WeatherLink:
For Windows:
WxSolution (www.thunderheadtech.com)
Weather Display (www.weather-display.com)
Virtual Weather Station (www.ambientsoftware.com)
WV32 (www.weatherview32.com/)

For Linux:
Wview (http://www.wviewweather.com/) Freeware
Vproweather (http://www.joejaworski.com/weather/) Freeware

TO; Harry T. I to have had the lock up problem. I reduced the problem ,
but did not completely resolve it, by changing to a different ISP. I also
moved to XP from 2000 pro . I still have the problem but not as often. I
am using weatherlink 5.7a. I have sent several logs and time line for this
problem to Davis and they have said every thing from they are working on it
to that probably won't fix it. I have taken to just living with it. I
haven't gotten any one to tell me about a different package that works with
the vantage pro to use instead of weatherlink. Would be interested if you
find one.
