Are you perhaps using a USB data logger? I had several issues with mine, and
had to return it in exchange for the serial version, which I use with a
USB-serial adapter. The USB driver with the USB version is very buggy. It is
not really a true USB device, but rather a poor implementation of a
USB-serial, itself.

Has anyone run into a problem with the Davis WeatherLInk software "locking"
a com port on your machine while uploading? It seems that the software will
not always release the com port when data uploads are completed. If so, what
soultion did you use to resolve the problem?

I'm thinking of moving to another software package to transmit data. Will
that resolve the issue?
