What version are you using?  I have seen no problems such as you are
referring to on 5.6 or 5.7

Has anyone run into a problem with the Davis WeatherLInk software "locking"
a com port on your machine while uploading? It seems that the software will
not always release the com port when data uploads are completed. If so, what
soultion did you use to resolve the problem?

I'm thinking of moving to another software package to transmit data. Will
that resolve the issue?
