[wxqc] Data Quality

Thanks everyone for the discussion, I have a better understanding now. And
I guess my weather station is doing a pretty good job :)

One other question, I remember setting myself up to receive those emails,
but I have yet to receive any.

Should I try it again, or am I bouncing the emails as you related to?

Thanks!

Bob,

You only get the daily emails if one or more samples fails QC. However,
you should still get weekly summaries in any event. If you fail QC
again, then you should start getting emails daily. There are long stops
against people whose email accounts stop accepting emails, but these
require of the order of 30 consecutive bounces to trigger.

However, this question does come up occasionally -- and I'm open to
changing the way that it works. Also, maybe more importantly, the format
of the messages is hard for people to understand (especially the text
emails as opposed to the html version). This is partly because of the
limited line length (to prevent word wrapping from messing up the
formatting).

I'm open to ideas on how to redo these emails to make them more user
friendly -- if anybody has any concrete ideas, then please try and
mock-up the email that you would like to see, and send it to me
off-list. I'll try and come up with a better format and then send it out
for critique.

Philip
