Hi all,

I was wondering if my direct Email is making it through or if it is getting
canned by a spam filter. I just haven’t heard anything so I was wondering
what was going on.

Thanks!

Subject: [wxqc] Wind rose control object

Hi All,

I am for fun working on a user control in VB2005 (VB.NET) that
displays wind and historical wind data on a rose that has mouse-over inquiry
on the data. I am wondering if anyone would like to test it out or offer
suggestions on what I can do to improve the control. My ultimate goal is to
provide these free to whoever is developing freeware weather software. Lots
of features, and I think they look nice also.

So if anyone is interested, please E-mail me and I will provide
what I have directly. When I get closer to a final revision, I will put the
source code on my site for whatever anyone would like to do with it.

Other controls I plan to make once I get some feedback:

Air pressure/dial control with historical displays

Temperature gauge that looks like a classic thermometer, only
has a lot of display control

Possibly a wind barb that “morphs” with wind speed and
direction.

-Mark Wyman
