High temperature is not a problem with these sensors. We were consistently over 100 degrees this past summer, along with some very high humidity on occassion, and never missed an observation.

If the other sensors are reporting fine and your data signal is good, then by deduction, if the Temp/Dpt cabling to the ISS is good, the temp/hum unit itself has to be bad.

      Bill,

Thanks for the info. Yes, it seems I have good reception during the dashed condition. All my other readings are coming in (baro, hum, rain, wind).

I will continue to wait for feedback from Davis, and see what they say as well. But, thanks again for sharing your experience. So far it seems I might need another temp/hum module.

Right now I am testing to see if it was the module or the console possibly getting too hot. I have the A/C on inside now for the console, and I'm just waiting to get up to temp again :)

      Chris,

I had dashed lines in temp out & dew point on my Davis VP2 when I got it in August. I use the Daytime FARS. It did not seem to happen at a particular temperature. I called Davis and they sent me a new Temp/Humidity module for the ISS and no more dashed lines. Is your reception good during the dashed lines?

      Bill
