Chris,

That is a great solution, and I have been using it also. However
then I cannot tell when it crashes. but it is the best solution by far as
you don't have to hack the program. I am glad you brought it up. Make sure
and have fast user switching enabled in XP to make this work though. (It
allows multiple users log-ins at once). Another thing to note is memory
usage. Make sure the WeatherLink login account is stripped to a nub of any
little programs that exist in the taskbar like video settings icons, sound
control, winzip, etc. as they will only be duplicated in your primary login,
remain unused, and waste RAM.

There may be another solution as you can force some programs to
run as a task (a reverse-hack). This may force the GUI to be hidden. I will
look into this.

I run WeatherLink and have no issues with the dialog box. What I have done
is to create a Weather User in XP (must set up XP to run multiple users). I
only run Weather Link in it - leave the monitor open. After I have it open,
I switch users to the one I use. I upload every 10 minutes and am never
interrupted with it.

A timely message Mark, as I had recently changed my uploading time from 30
minutes to 10 minutes and have been beleagured by trying to find out why my
two-screen setup will NO LONGER power down. I hope WeatherLink is watching.
This could cause me to change my upload back to 30 minutes.

I have suggested that WeatherLink "lurk" quietly in the Systray as a current
temperature (like the "other" software) and not in the taskbar. I am glad
to see the dialog box has a fix to lessen its intrusiveness and I would hope
for the power-off monitor feature be fixed. Also I have a Dell and can't
seem to be able to have the bulletin window up for very long before I lose a
com port so I have to have the Summary window open, small matter.

Gary, thank you for your hard work and responsiveness.
