It's probably because the APRS spec provides three rain fields: 1 hr, since midnight, and 24 hr. WeatherLink only sends the value for rain since midnight. It appears that MesoWest only looks at the 24hr rain value (which WeatherLink doesn't send). The console only provides the rain since midnight value, so that's the easy one for weather programs to support. Sending 1 hr rain and 24 hr rain requires some extra work since the weather program has to keep track of those values itself.

I have a friend that is using a Vantage Pro 2 weather station and Weatherlink v5.7 software to upload data to the CWOP. His rainfall totals are showing up on CWOP but not on Meso West. Would the problem be with the Weatherlink v5.7 software or something going on with Meso West?
