[wxqc] rain gauge question

I see a jumped to a conclusion I should not have jumped to. At

sell a lens cleaning fluid as an accessory to the unit, so I assumed
there must be a lens to clean. Now I'm wondering if rainwater is always
ionized enough to carry a current. It would have to be for this method to
work.
