[wxqc] Wrong focus?

Jim, I agree with both of your statements. Why even have my station, if I
am just going to match somebody else's numbers. My problem is, since I'm
inexperienced with this, when the data doesn't match what is expected I
don't know how to verify the data. More importantly, I don't have a clue as
to how to find the source. Currently, there is a station about 5 miles away
from me that has a humidity reading about 24 points higher than mine.
Another 5 miles down the road and there's a station 35 points higher than
mine. Maybe it's me...then I look in the other direction 10 miles away and
I find a station's humidity 15 points lower than mine. I did find one
station about 14 miles away that matched up pretty well to mine. I guess if
you look long enough...you will find the answer you want to hear. So how do
I go about verifying data? Are there just too many variables to consider?
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Jack

Just to be clear, I think Philips pages are an excellent
tool to identify obvious problems. My way of thinking
though, when data doesn't match what is expected, is to
first verify the data, then try to identify the source of
the difference. Not try to make the data match what's
expected.
