Hi Steve,
The wind spec you list is exactly what I had on my email. You are
correct about the NWS instrument standards for time sample duration
means for temp and RH and we even put those sample durations into Table
1b of the CWOP Guide. I'll update the info I gave Davis for 1 and 5
minute averages for RH and Temp respectively.
Good catch on the pressure time sample spec, I had assumed pressure was
the only instantaneous parameter measured (I'm biased by my "old school"
way of manually "thumping" the aneroid barometer to get the pressure).
Whether the pressure is or is not an instantaneous measurement, we have
failed to specify what the standard should be. We will address this
issue in the next edit of the Guide.
