I finally figured out how to import synoptic data reports, and I found a 
good source of station information. It isn't perfect as I think that 
there are now duplicate stations in the database, but that can get 
sorted out.

What this means is that for countries outside the US, there is now a 
greater likelihood that you will find a station close by that will have 
data. Some data will have been imported today, but more will arrive 
tomorrow......

In particular, you can now see the weather at site NZSP. This is the 
only station whose lat/long I can recall off the top of my head.
