[wxqc] Back-logging data

Just one more question (for now).
As I was unplugging the computer last night because of the lightning and the fact I have no protection on it yet, I was thinking of how much CWOP data I would loose. I see that WeatherUnderground allows sending of old data to "fill in" the charts, but the WeatherLink CWOP does not. Is this just an intentional limitation of CWOP, or is it WeatherLink? The reason I am wondering is I am in the very early stages of writing a service that will simply take the Davis Vantage data and put it in it's data files, and also upload CWOP data in the background. I could have this service send up old data as well as new. I really don't like the WeatherLink software running while I am trying to work since it glitches my computer during the upload process, and also prevents the monitor from going into sleep mode. The best way sometimes to get what you want is to write it yourself.
